Old Terrace Dhanmondi

I was there recently and this place won my heart. The stuffs were very polite. The atmosphere of this restaurant is very aesthetic and comfortable. There are open spaces with a very good view. And the best part is the food. Their food was very delicious that i gave them a 5star. I really liked and enjoyed having meal there. I will go again and i would highly recommend anyone to go there. If you are looking for a cozy and beautiful restaurant in dhanmondi please try this restaurant.

Old Terrace Restaurant was a decent experience overall. The food quality was above average, it was satisfying. The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. Service was good – the staff were polite and responsive. It’s a nice spot for a casual meal.

This place has a nice open balcony. The food is good, but nothing amazing. The rice was tasty but not warm enough. Other dishes were a bit warmer. Everything tasted fresh. It's not the best place for families, but great for hanging out with friends. They play good music there.

We visited Old Terrace Restaurant and tried the Couple Platter. The Chicken Sizzling was absolutely delicious—flavorful and perfectly cooked! However, the other items in the platter were just average. The ambiance was nice, and the service was decent. Overall, a good experience, but the food quality could be more consistent. Would definitely return for the sizzling chicken!

It was iftar time. So they could not provide their 100% especially without any reservations. But the dishes tasted a little over average. Indoor set up is a little congested and gets noisy. We reached 10 mins before iftar. But the servers tried their best to accommodate and serve whatever was available at that time. So it was quite satisfying. And they do not have any mobile payment method. Just cash or card.

Old Terrace, located in the Star Kebab building at Dhanmondi 12/A, has a fantastic terrace with a great view of Abahani Club Field and the Dhanmondi area. The ambience is perfect for a casual hangout or a date. However, I found the indoor seating more comfortable, though many chairs were broken or not well-maintained. I visited twice in the last two months and tried two different platters. The Surf n Turf platter (seafood) was excellent—well-cooked, flavorful, and great value for money. I would definitely order it again. However, the Tandoori Chicken Platter was disappointing. The Thai soup was good, but the tandoori chicken itself was too spicy, tough, and seemed either undercooked or pre-cooked and served cold. If you visit, I recommend trying the Surf n Turf platter or exploring other menu options. Also, keep in mind that the terrace is a smoking zone, so if you're with family or prefer a smoke-free environment, it's better to sit inside. 5 stars for their service and colorful interior design, but a little improvement in food quality and seating maintenance would make it even better!
